Shri Amarnathji Yatra for this year 2012 will commence via both the routes, Phalgam (Chandanwari) and Baltal on 25th June 2012 and conclude on 2nd August 2012.The Holy Cave is the abode of Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva is enshrined in the form of an Ice-Lingam in this cave. This Lingam is formed naturally which is believed to Wax and Wane with the moon. The Holy Cave of Shri Amarnathji is situated at 13500feet atop the South Kashmir Himalayas.It is 46KM from Phalgam and 14KM from Baltal.
