Hindu Concept of God: Speech by Dr N Gopalakrishnan ( director of IISH ) in English
Unlike cristianity and islam hindu dharma is not profound by anyone. Where is hindustanam? The nation or land starts from Himalaya and ends in Indian Ocean. Who is hindu? In that hindustanam whom ever is considering this nation as father and mother land can be called hindu. Concept of god in hindus, never narrated with stories. The concept of god is different for different people. we can see that the concept of god, the omnipresent and Oneness can never be understand by a common man, But for a yogy it is Oneness or Advaita. Hindu concept of God is the Oneness, The Brahman. Common man should be taught in a different way because common man is not spiritually enriched to understand the High level Philosophy of Advaita, and he needs more simple methods to attain the stage of a yogy. This is attained through Rituals, Puranas, Vedas etc.

Isavasyamidam sarvam..God is present everywhere, the intrinsic energy present in an atom, Hindu concept of god. Mahatomaheyan.. Greater than the greatest. Anoraneya..Smaller than the smallest, the awareness or self consciousness present in living and nonliving things. Atmaguhayamahitolsyajantho, In the form of Soul in living and nonliving. Scientific explanation of Hindu spirituality and Concept of God is explained in this speech. Since that self awareness is present in me, I say Aham Brahma (am the God ) . Since it is present in my body, you say Namaste to me and since it is present in your body, I say namaste to you. We all are thus divine life’s and not sinners, As like Vivekananda said we are the sons of Eternity (amrutasyaputra ). Hindu believes in Single god and not in many god. Ekam sat vipra bahuta vadanti ( There is only one god and the Yogis Call or name it in many ways )
