Sabarimala Sree Dharma Sastha Temple is the abode of Lord Ayyappa Swamy.The temple is situated on a hilltop(about 3000feet above sea level) named SABARIMALA in Pathanamthitta District,Kerala State.The temple is one of the most ancient temples in Kerela and most famous and prominet among all the Sastha temples in Kerela.It is believed that the deity of the temple was consecrated by Lord Parasurama at the foot of the Sabari Hills for which reference has been made even in Hindu Epic RAMAYANAM.The temple is open for worship only during the days of Mandala Pooja,Makaravilakku and Chitra Vishu.
