Tirumala Tirupati Devastanams (TTD) has decided to celebrate 604th Birthday celebrations of great saint poet Sri Tallapaka Annamarcharya by organizing several cultural programs at Tallapaka,Tirumala and Tirupati from May 6,2012 to May 8,2012.
About Tallapaka Annamaiah in Brief:
Tallapaka Annamaiah was born on Vaisaka Sudda Pournami 1408 in the year Sarwadari.His wife Thimmakka who had written SUBHADRA KALYANAM. They have only son Pedda Tirumalacharya and their grandson was Tallapaka Chinnaya and both are poets and composers.
The unstinting devotion of Tallapaka Annamaiah for the Lord Venkateswara Swamy with a pristine heart and his efforts to immortalise his Bhakti through the composition of 32,000 songs in vernacular Telugu has made him Padakavitha Pitamaha.

There will be Sapthagiri Sankeerthana gosti ganam,Srivari Kalyanam and Grama Sankerthanam at Tallapaka village,Rajampet Mandal Kadapa District and also Unjala Seva and other programs in the evening at the 108feet statue of Annamamaih. TTD has also arranged Annaprasadam in the afternoon after Srivari Kalyanam.

There are cultural and literary programs at Mahati Auditorium.

There are Special Annamacharya Sankeerthana programs on the evening from 6-May-2012 to 8-May-2012 on Nadaneerajanam platform at Tirumala
