In this year 2012 TTD will be organised Srivari Brahmotsavam in two times at Tirumala First, Adhika Masa  Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavam starts from       18-Sep-2012 to 26-Sep-2012 and second Sri Venkateswara Swamy Navartri Brahmotsavam starts from 15-Oct-2012 to 23-Oct-2012. In  normal course one Brahmotsavam is performed in the month of Aswayuja(telugu month) only in a calender year. Adhika Masa Brahmotsavam is known as Salakatla Brahmotsavam
What is Adhika Masa Brahmotsavam or Why two brahmotsavams are being performed in 2012 
Everyday Pujas and Sevas are performed as per Vaikhanasa Agama based on the Solar and Lunar calculations(Panchangam) to the divine God.Once in every three years when an extra month(Adhika Masa) comes according to Panchanga,TWO BRAHMOTSAVAMS will be  performed one in Adhika Masa in the months of Nija Bhadrapada(Telugu Month) and the other in the month of Aswayuja(Telugu Month) [during September and October respectively]. Srivari Annula Brahmotsavam starts with Ankurarpanam (Sign of starting of Brahmotsavam) on 17-9-2012(Monday). In this connection procession of Sri Senadhipathi varu takes place around temple four mada streets from 7:00pm to 8:00pm
