Lord TTD Shravana Pournami Managudi Novel Program on Sravana Pournami 2012 Date falls on August 2,2012

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam TTD along with Andhra Pradesh Endowments Department designed a novel programme called Sravana Pournami - Managudi (Our Temple) with the unique aim to integrate our Hindu Community to participate in Special Pujas across Ten Thousand Temples in Andhra Pradesh on the occasion of Shravana Pourami which falls on  August 2 (Thursday).Sravana Pournami is an important festival to Hindus and on this day Raksha Bandhan is also observed.

Sravana Pournami - Managudi(Our Temple) Program:

On this holy day Women devotees will perform Kumkuma Pujas and Men devotees perform Bhajans in the praise of various Hindu deities in all the temples in the state. After completion of  pujas and bhajans, the Rakshana Kankana Dharana(wearing of secured holy thread) will be performed where Kankans(Holy Threads) will be distributed to devotees.

Meanwhile there will be some special programs designed by TTD for the publicity of  the   Sravana Pournami-Managudi Program--

3)108 Kalasa Puja on July 15,2012

4)The Kankans,Akshimthalu(Holy Rice),Spiritual Books will be kept at the feet of Lord Venkateswara Swamy,Tirumala on July 16,2012 [ these will be distributed to all temples where this event takes place]

5)Nagara Sankeerthanas on July 22 and July 29,2012.
6) Sravana Pournami celebrates on August 2,2012
