With the unique aim to integrate our Hindu Community,Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam TTD along with Andhra Pradesh State Endowments Department is contemplating to organize second phase of MANAGUDI(Our Temple) programme across more than Ten Thousand Temples in Andhra Pradesh on the occasion KARTHIKA POURNAMI which falls on the date November 28, 2012 (Wednesday).
Highlights of the First Phase of Managudi(Our Temple) Program:
To propagate our Hindu Dharmas,Culture and importance of our Hindu Festivals, TTD and AP Endowments Department designed a Novel Program called as MANAGUDI Program with the unique aim to intergrate our Hindu Community on the occassion of SHRAVANA POURNAMI on August 2,2012.Managudi Program has been organized over 14,731 temples across the Andhra Pradesh with the Public participation in a grandeur manner.
On this holy day Women devotees have been performed Kumkuma Pujas and Men devotees performed Bhajans in the praise of various Hindu deities in all the temples in the state. After completion of pujas and bhajans, the Rakshana Kankana Dharana(wearing of secured holy thread) performed where Kankans(Holy Threads) have distributed to devotees.
