Lord Benefits of Chanting Lalitha sahasranam in Ammas words

Amma says the benefits and importance of chanting the lalithasahasranama
Sri Lalitha Sahasranam is an ancient sacred hymn to the divine mother which is said to bring many blessing to ourself and to the world.
Mother who has listen the sorrows of millions of people all around the world and she dedicated her life for the relief of their pains, as a result of her untiring efforts lalitha sahasranama archana  has been wide spread even among the general public.  Mother, with her untiring efforts usually arranges big group of devotees chanting sahasranama in india and abroad. If you ask someone who has participated in this Group archana, they say it’s very energizing and the feeling of some divine presence. Amma says the importance of chanting the 1000 names of Lalitha parameswari in the present time. In the present age, the instinct of motherly love and compassion has been lost from human minds. Feminine qualities like compassion and love should be stronger in men and masculine qualities like steadiness and courage nous should grow in women; rapid growth will be then possible in both material and spiritual life. The worship of the divine mother is ideal for enhancing these good qualities. The worship using lalithasahasranam has the upmost value in developing peace and prosperity in family life and for the peace and prosperity of the world. Amma says there will never be a shortage of food or clothing in homes where lalitha sahasranama is chanted.  In ancient days Gurus when giving mantra to their disciples usually instructed to do lalitha sahasranama archana as well. That was because Divine mother will take care of the disciple through the grace of the 1000 names.  The best time for chanting the sahasranam is during the morning time.
Amma says lalitha devi will protect always those who chant the sacred lalitha sahasranama , there will not be a shortage of food or clothing for those who chants lalitha sahasranam daily with devotion and they will attain spiritual uplift as well.
Amma says doing daily lalitha sahasranama Archana is beneficial for the prosperity of own house and for the peace of whole world.  Archana is a penance for the wrong deeds or misconduct in the past and gives strength to live a dharmic(the do’s and donts which may vary from person to person) life.  Even the atmosphere is cleansed if archana is done daily.  Amma says doing Archana will invoke the latent powers of our each nadhi, which are the energy channels located in the etheric body or energy body and it does not mean the physical nerves.  Chanting this Sahasranama brings prosperity to one's self and family, and it purifies, protects and brings quick and tremendous spiritual advancement.  "The Lalita Sahasranama is the golden chain that links the material and the spiritual realms. Although the chant may seem difficult, it is very easy to begin with a little practice. Amma says children if you do archana daily with concentration and devotion, you need not perform any other poojas or homams to get rid of the bad effects in certain astrological periods. Archana is a remedy for all.
You can get archana book transliterated in English from ammas shop.  In addition to this beautiful chant, this booklet also includes various prayers and sacred mantras, as well as a manasa puja, or mental worship of the Divine Mother composed by Amma herself. Also includes the 108 names of Amma.
Archana book in languages other than english is available at Ammas ashram book stalls.
I prefer the best is to buy Lalithasahasranama booklet from ammas book shops, unlike booklet from other shops it will be free from printing errors which may cause misspell of mantras.

Lord Lalita sahasranama: 1000 names of divine mother

Lalita sahasranama is a sacred Hindu text for the worshippers of the Goddess Lalita Devi, i.e. the Divine Mother, Shakti, the consort of Lord Shiva. Lalita is the Goddess of bliss, an epithet for Parvati. Etymologically "Lalita" means "She Who Plays".
All the thousand names are organised as in a hymn, i.e. in the way of stotras. This hymn occurs in the Brahmanda Purana. It is a dialogue between Hayagriva, a minor incarnation (avatara) of Vishnu and the great sage Agastya. The Lalita Sahasranama is held as a sacred text for the worship of the Divine Mother, Lalita and is also used in the worship of Durga, Kali, Lakshmi, Saraswati, Bhagavathi, etc.. It is a principal text of Shakti worshippers. Lalita Sahasranama names the various attributes of the Divine Mother, and all these names are organised in the form of a hymn. This Sahasranama is used in various modes for the worship of the Divine Mother. Some of the modes of worship are parayana (Recitations), archana, homa etc. usually, in a sahasranama, if the same name repeats, the commentators use their scholarship and inspiration to give different meanings to different occurrences of the same name. Lalita sahasranma has the unique distinction, among all the sahasranamas, of not repeating even a single name. Further, in order to maintain the metre, sahasranamas use the artifice of adding words like tu, api, ca, and hi, which are only conjunctions not necessarily needed for the meaning except in rare cases of interpretation. Lalita sahasranama has again the unique distinction of not having even a single such innocuous word in its texture.

Lord Lalita Sahasranama and Other Sahasranama's

A comparison of Lalita Sahasranama with other Sahasranama's
It is considered that Sahasranama worship was not existed during the age of VEDAS. The worship of Devata (Deity) with selected 1000 names came popular during the age of Itihasa’s.  Vishnu Sahasranama, which is considered to be the First Sahasranama ever known. It is in the ‘Anushasana Parva’ of Mahabharata Bheshma advised the Vishnu Sahasranama to yudishtira. After a long time the Mantra-Tantra Science developed to a complete stage and it is considered that during that time Lalitha Sahasranama came to Existence.
In Vishnu Sahasranama more importance is given to the formless nature (Amoortha bhava) of Param Purusha (Lord). There are only a few mantras which describe the Human Nature of Maha Vishnu. But in Lalita Sahasranama Special Importance has given to the character, form, dressing style and Stories of Devi along with the Formless, Subtle and super most nature. This will help to empower the imagination of devotee which makes the worship easier.
In other Sahasranamas many Avvyaya’s (indeclinable words) such as ‘cha’  ‘api’ etc are used in plenty for the beauty of poetry.   Though many long word mantras were used in lalita sahasranama,  it was written in a very beautiful poetic language providing the complete power and meaning of mantras without using such ‘Avyaya’s ‘.  It is a miraculous thing that the Sahasranama was created in such a way that the both the beauty of language and richness of mantra meaning were attained equally. It is considered that this miracle was happened because the Lalita Sahasranama is said to have been composed by ‘Vak Devatas’, who are considered as the authorities of sound and language.
A unique specialty of Lalitha Sahasranama is its Excellency in literature.  ‘Paunaruktyam’ – (Repetition of mantras) is not in Lalitha Sahasranama. In Vishnu Sahasranama there are 76 names which are repeated twice, 13 names repeated  3 times and two names repeated for 4 times. But the unique importance of Lalita Sahasranama is that there is no repetition of mantras. There are plenty of Many-lettered words in Lalitha Sahasranam which shows its structural quality of literature. Given below is a comparison of mantras of Vishnu Sahasranama and Lalita sahasranam in letter structure.
There are special mantra allocations for each mantra in lalita Sahasranama.  The mantras are allocated in such a way that the recitation and Archana(puja) with these mantras will expand the mantra frequency, which is known as’ Mantrodharana’. Everything in the universe has a frequency.   Every mantra has its frequency.  This frequency overlaps constructively with the frequency of the Sadhak (spiritual aspirant doing Spiritual practices) by practice. When the amplitude of mantra frequency expands due to daily recitation, the Sadhak’s frequency which is overlapped with it also expands.
The lalita sahasranam is a wonderful creation where beauty of poetry and Power of Mantra unites. Thus Lalita sahasranam is unique in many ways.

Lord Soundarya Lahari : English translation

Soundarya Lahari (bliss of the eternal beauty or waves of beauty) written in Sanskrit originally composed by Sri Adi Sankaracharya praising Sri Lalithambika (Goddess) consists of 100 stotras and divided into two sections of stotras. The first is Ananda Lahari, waves of happiness (first 41 stotras) and the second is Soundarya Lahari, waves of beauty (the next 59 stotras). The Lord sri Ganesha himself has composed the Ananda Lahari on Mount Meru (Some people believe that Sage Pushpa Dhantha did the etching). It was read from there by Sage Gouda Pada who taught it to Adhi Sankaracharya. Adhi Sankara himself composed the rest of the 59 stotras and completed it. These 100 stotras are supposed to be the foremost among Mantra literature. It is said that by Making suitable Yanthras and reciting particular stotras (Each stotra is meant for obtaining each different things both spiritual and material wishes are included) and by worshipping the yantras with devotion almost anything can be obtained in the world. A stotra can be chanted by worshiping the particular Yantra meant for it. Chanting the stotras alone also allowed but more beneficial is ‘yantra worshiping’. Yantra is a worshiping element made in Gold or silver with particular drawing and mantra on it which is prepared by experts (people with experience in mantra science) There are more than 36 commentries to Soundarya Lahari written in Sanskrit itself. Of them the most famous is that written by Lakshmi Dhara alias Lalla. His commentary is used to understand the meaning of the different verses. Though there are large number of translations and commentaries of Soundraya Lahari available this is perhaps the first time an attempt is made by a mere novice to translate them in to English verse. The aim is to bring to the notice of the devotees who know English better than other languages, the majesty of the medium of worship called Soundarya Lahari. A transliteration in roman script is also given. May all those who read this be enlightened for ever by blessings of jagadamba ( The mother of all )

Lord Things to observe while chanting Lalitha sahasranama

What are the things to observe while chanting/reciting Lalithasahasranamam daily?
 1. You Should be physically clean - Take a bath or wash your hands and feet before chanting.

2. Choose a good and clean place and seat to sit - It should be a comfortable place. The best seat to sit is a folded woollen blanket.
3. Should be mentally clean. Impurity of the mind is the thought that you are different from the Devi. [To begin with try to be aware of all thoughts. At times you may lose awareness. Don’t worry; try again. Slowly the number of thoughts will decrease. It is the different thoughts which create different moods that make you feel you are not the Divine]. Try to have only positive thoughts.
 4. Chant with correct pronunciation. Use a CD of Lalithasahasranamam for it or approach a sanskrit scholar.

5. Chant with shradha & respect - Know that Shri Lalitha Parameshvari is listening to your chanting & watching you.

6. Chant slowly, clearly & loud enough so that you can hear.

7. Try not to hurt others physically or mentally throughout the day (this is the most important rule).
8. You don’t have to chant/do the nyasam if you are not initiated. If you are initiated then learn the way from your Guru. Start with chanting the dhyana shlokam (just one will do).
9. Try to understand the literal meaning & the implied meaning.

10. Ponder over the meaning & try implementing it in daily life.

11. Offer the chanting to the Devi at the end of chanting.
